Welcome to the Holmfirth Festival of Folk
Holmfirth Festival of Folk sprang from the ashes of Holmfirth Folk Festival in 2005 and has grown into an extremely popular community based festival drawing in a large local audience in addition to the usual 'folkies'. The events take place in the local pubs and on the streets and the vast majority are free. Because of this, we don’t have a lot of money to spend on big names but be assured you will get quality. So if that is the kind of festival you like, we would love to see you between May 7th and 9th.
Festival RadioTwo Valleys Radio will be broadcasting live from the festival on Saturday. You can listen to the broadcast here or why not pop along and see them in their caravan in the Old Bridge car park. Add new comment
Gerry McNeice is UnwellUnfortunately Gerry McNeice has had to withdraw from most of his commitments this weekend due to ill health, but Niamh Boadle will still be performing at the Old Bridge on Saturday afternoon and the Parish Church and workshop on Sunday morning. Gerry hopes to be present at the Cricket Club on Saturday evening. We wish him well. Timetable UpdatedThe timetable has been colour-coded to enable you to see at a glance whether an event requires tickets, is suitable for children, is open to people who want to turn up and play etc. We hope you find this useful. |
